Books for Trees Program

Chương trình Đổi sách lấy cây

The program encourages the community to bring books, paper, clothing, school supplies, toys, teddy bears, used batteries, milk cartons, cans, and used plastic products to designated exchange points in return for succulents, ornamental plants, seeds, and environmentally friendly products and gifts. Each year, it collects approximately 10–20 tonnes of paper and books, recirculates more than 500–700 sets of textbooks and over 5,000–10,000 books, and donates bookshelves and community libraries to schools in mountainous, remote, border, and ethnic minority areas, as well as social protection facilities. These efforts help thousands of children access books and promote equitable access to education. The program also distributes thousands of plants and environmentally friendly products through its annual exchange activities.
